Leongatha PS is a key member of the Leongatha Education Precinct and has just relocated onto the new school site on Nerrena Rd. The new buildings include Learning Spaces, a Learning Street and an Outdoor Learning Area for each class. All grade levels work closely together in teams with teachers planning together and sharing instruction time and spaces.
“Learning For Life” is the guiding principle shared by our school community.
Leongatha Primary School aims to promote citizenship, life long learning and the attainment of excellence.
Our goal is to provide a safe and happy environment and comprehensive education which enable each child to reach their academic, social, emotional and physical potential.

At Leongatha PS our Early Years are based upon the Kathy Walker Approach to Developmental Curriculum which is expanding through the school into Educational Research Projects for the senior grades.
Our school caters for each student with the “All Kinds of Minds” program as the foundation for our relationships with all students.
Our school aims to provide an ICT rich environment with a 1:1 Netbook program implemented in Grades 4 to 6.
